The best news have arrived and the countdown has begun.

You’ve probably heard by now, but if you’ve been too busy prioritizing rest this summer, let us share the newest and most exciting bit of information in our field. Last week at the EABP Congress in Cork, we met so many of you who came to SOMA last year, and so many who didn’t and were now suffering from some major FOMO. Luckily, we have a remedy:

SOMA RETURNS IN 2027!

When?
– The festival will take place from 2–5 September 2027 in Borovets, Bulgaria.

Where?
– This time, we’re taking SOMA to the mountains. Borovets is less than 70 km from Sofia and just about an hour away, making it remarkably easy to reach. And as European summers keep getting hotter, spending the beginning of September in the fresh, slightly cooler air of the Rila Mountains sounds increasingly like exactly where we want to be.

What’s new?
– Our new home will be the recently renovated 5-star Hotel Rila Borovets. Our partners there are just as excited to welcome SOMA as we are to arrive, and have offered our participants exceptionally low accommodation rates for the duration of the festival.

And SOMA itself?
– In 2027, we’re asking WHAT’S LOVE GOT TO DO WITH IT?
For four days, SOMA will once again bring together the international body psychotherapy community for presentations, panels, workshops, conversations, movement, parties, reunions, new encounters, walks in nature and everything that happens when hundreds of us share the same place for a few days.

What you need to know now?
– Our first ticket release, Mindful Planner, went on sale on 5 September during the EABP Congress in Cork, and tickets are selling much faster than we expected.
Get yours by 15 October 2026 and you’ll also enter the draw to win free festival stay: 3 nights at Hotel Rila, from 2–5 September 2027, with all meals included, for one person.

We wouldn’t be able to embark on this journey again without the incredible support of the EABP. And because we want SOMA to be a place for connection, fun and reunions, but also one that as many people as possible can actually afford to join, we’ve made two important decisions:

1. SOMA admission stays at 2025 prices.
Despite the steeper path prices have taken globally, we are not increasing our admission fees, everyone gets to attend as if it was 2025. A pretty good FOMO remedy, isn’t it?

2. EABP members get our lowest ticket rates.
Full Members and Student-Members of EABP benefit from the best SOMA rates. Membership applications are now fully online, and EABP is committed to making the process as quick and easy as possible.
And you don’t need to wait for approval: we will accept your registration and purchase of a Full Member of EABP or Student-Member of EABP ticket even if your membership application is still pending.

Get your SOMA 2027 ticket by October 15

We all know how quickly time passes, so this is a good moment to start putting your SOMA 2027 plans in place, especially when planning early means the lowest ticket prices and a chance to have your entire festival accommodation covered.

Hotel Rila Borovets

We now have the accommodation rates for SOMA participants at
Hotel Rila, and they are exceptionally good:

Single room – €145
Double Room – €190
Apartment 3 people – €336

All rates are per room, per night and include breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A double room shared by two people, for example, comes to €95 per person per night, including all three meals. And you might not have to pay for your accommodation at all.

Fachkongress: “Zwischen Kontrolle und Kontrollverlust” Essstörungen und Suchterkrankungen: Komorbidität verstehen

Fachkongress 2027 (in Planung)

Psychische Erkrankungen nehmen zu – und mit ihnen die Herausforderungen für die therapeutische Praxis. Bereits heute ist in Deutschland jährlich mehr als jede vierte erwachsene Person von einer psychischen Erkrankung betroffen. Gleichzeitig haben sich die stationären Behandlungen von Mädchen und jungen Frauen (10–17 Jahre) aufgrund von Essstörungen innerhalb von 20 Jahren verdoppelt. (DGPPN)

Essstörungen und Suchterkrankungen treten dabei häufig gemeinsam auf. Beide Störungsbilder sind eng mit Themen wie Emotionsregulation, Trauma, Scham, Perfektionismus und Kontrollverlust verbunden und erfordern ein interdisziplinäres therapeutisches Verständnis.

Dieses Symposium bringt führende Expertinnen und Experten zusammen und verbindet aktuelle Wissenschaft mit praxisnahen Therapieansätzen. Freuen Sie sich auf neue Perspektiven, evidenzbasierte Behandlungskonzepte und wertvolle Impulse für den Umgang mit einer Patientengruppe, deren Bedeutung in den kommenden Jahren weiter zunehmen wird.
